The Blue Ridge Literacy Council will strengthen our local community and transform lives through literacy by working towards four identified goals. No goal is more important than the other. Each goal contains strategies and year one objectives. Relevant Board Committees and/or the staff will develop SMART Work Plans to ensure each objective is met. In March or April of each year, the Board committees and/or staff will evaluate the progress made towards the goals and develop the following year’s objectives and SMART Work Plans, always referring back to the four identified goals as the guidepost.

1. Increase and diversify revenue to support our community impact.

2. Expand community visibility and partnerships.

3. Expand organizational capacity.

4. Refine programs to meet emerging community needs.
